I was reading an article in World Magazine about the Apostolic Constitution (called Anglicanorum Coetibus) and I noticed something a tremendous focus on tradition.  Now I have nothing about tradition, but when you are trying to decide what church you are going to attend should tradition be at the top of your list?

Whether it was the comments about how the services were almost the same rather then biblical authenticity or those who wouldn’t join the Roman Catholic church not because of a doctrinal difference but because of tradition.

We all have traditions and they act as tools to help us remember; Christmas traditions, Easter traditions, how we celebrate Thanksgiving.  But when our Christian beliefs are ruled by our traditions rather than our Lord are we even christians anymore?  Has the church in the west changed from the Church of Christ to the church of our traditions?
